Commitment Fee - You are required to pay a non-refundable $500 commitment fee. The remaining balance will be invoiced in 4 remaining payments of $250 due in September, $250 in October, $250 in November, and $250 due in December. Total projected dues for each player is set at $1500 for the year. These fees will be applied to your account to cover expenses for the upcoming season such as insurance, facility rentals, tournament costs, gate fees, organizational fees, website management, etc. If players need new or additional equipment items; helmet, bag, practice jersey, game jersey’s, pants, socks, belt, etc., they will be responsible for those additional fees per item at cost.
Tournament travel & lodging - it is your responsibility to arrange your own transportation and lodging for all tournaments. We book room blocks as a team to lock down the best rates we can for everyone.
Volunteer/Fundraising participation – fundraisers may be available during the year. Each players’ individual profits for fundraising will be applied to their account.
Sponsorships - obtaining sponsorships from local businesses are highly encouraged. These sponsorships can be tax deductible and are great for businesses for advertising. Your sponsorships can be used to offset up to 75 percent of your yearly team dues. Meaning $2,000 sponsorship donations would cover $1,500 in yearly dues. You would have zero out-of-pocket expenses if you can achieve $2,000 in total sponsorships. Additional sponsorship money will go into the team operating funds and be used for additional team supplies, apparel, tournaments, gate fees, training time, etc.
Medical concerns – you will let the coaching staff know if your daughter has any medical concerns. Medical conditions that will or may limit players ability to play softball need to be addressed with the coaching staff.
Commitment - We stress commitment, but if you cannot attend a scheduled practice, please call the coach at least 24 hours prior to the date of practice - This helps the coaches to plan practice and drills according to participation. From April through the end of July players are expected to place softball as a high priority and attend all practices and tournaments.
Sportsmanship - Practice good sportsmanship at-all-times per the signed Sportsmanship Contract! Attitude and hustle will be evaluated daily to determine playing time!
Timeliness - Be on time for games & practice - That means on the field and ready to start at scheduled time for games and practices - at least a one hour before scheduled game time and 10 minutes before start of practice.
Do not disturb player(s) - During the practices or games please do not disturb players - Do not enter the dug out or the playing field unless in certain circumstances of importance – i.e. medical issues.
Let the coaching staff do the coaching - Too many voices or instruction is too much confusion not only for your daughter, but also for other girls on the team.
Roster – Your daughter will be NSA/USA/ASA/USSSA/PGF sanctioned under the Edge Fastpitch Organization, and unless agreed upon by the Head Coach will not be released or allowed to roster with any another organization.
